Dioptra helps with ITD District 5’s First Mobile Mapping Project Dioptra teamed with R.E.Y. Engineers out of Folsom, CA to assist in its first Mobile Scanning/Mapping project for the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) District 5 in Bear Lake County (Caribou County Line to Nounan Rd.). Dioptra was tasked to set 110 mobile scanning targets and provide coordinate and elevation values on all target locations. Dioptra will also provide validation/verification surveys along the entire 12-mile corridor for R.E.Y. and ITD in Spring 2017. The coordinates were collected using The Utah Reference Network (TURN), Dioptra’s first major project using this network.   Dioptra Selected to Provide Survey Services for 12-mile Project in Bear Lake County Dioptra has signed a contract with ITD to provide survey services for the Caribou County Line to Nounan Rd. project. This contract consists of surveying all underground utilities, locating all right-of-way, centerline, private property corners and PLSS corners along a 12-mile corridor, and determining the Highway right-of-way and centerline alignment for the project. The Utah Reference Network (TURN), will be used on this project as well. This project adds to the long list of similar projects Dioptra has completed for ITD Districts 5 & 6 in the last few years throughout Southeast Idaho.   Gwen Inskeep elected as the ISPLS Eastern Section Secretary At the last Idaho Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ISPLS) Eastern Section Meeting, held on December 15, 2016, Dioptra's Gwen Inskeep (LiDAR/HDS Manager) was elected as the Eastern Section Secretary. Gwen has exceptional organizational skills and a desire to do the best she can with every task she is presented with. With these skills, she will make an excellent Section Secretary. Everyone at Dioptra supports her completely and believes she will do an amazing job. Congratulations Gwen!
